A driver who allegedly blew threw a red light while speeding at 60 M.P.H. at a Ybor City intersection caused a four car accident that sent at least two people to Tampa hospitals. According to witness statements printed online at TampaBay.com a woman driving a Chevy Colorado pick-up truck ran a red light driving upwards of 60 M.P.H. and had to be cut free from the truck and was taken to Tampa General Hospital.
Witnesses say the woman struck a Ford F-250 after she ran the red light. That pick-up then flipped and crashed into a Chevy Impala while the Colorado struck a GMC Jimmy which was forced into the side of a building. The driver of the Ford truck was able to crawl away from his vehicle following the collision but was taken to the hospital. Charges have not been filed on the woman driving the truck at the time the article was printed.
